Full-Face vs Bucket Helmets

After years of wearing a full-face helmet I think I am going to take a walk on the wild side on my next ride and cruise with a half helmet and googles.

This all started with me not being able to fit my shades under my full-face, buying some googles then liking how they look with a half-helmet (plus I don't think they would fit under my visor).

Anyone have any feelings one way or the other? Freedom of a brain-bucket vs. the protection of a full-face? 

Women's Weekend Ride - Guerneville this Sunday

It's that time of year again - Women's Weekend on the Russian River! And a scenic motorcycle ride up North on Sunday, May 17 to check out the festivities has been planned!

The plan is to meet up at on Lakeshore at 10:00 a.m.Kick stands up at 10:30 on the dot.  

Temperature in Guerneville is currently predicted at be about 85 degrees, so it would be wise to bring some clothes to change into and whatever else you want to pack on your bike to make a day of it. Going back is not a planned ride, but riders will head out at around 5:00/6:00 p.m.

 

They Were Here First!

Me and 3 of my amigas jumped on our bikes, met up in Oakland and headed down to Stanford for an American Indian Pow-Wow. Great stuff. Wonderful sights, sounds and food (Indian Frybread) of course. Great ride weather on the way to the event - those heading to SF in the evening experienced a great deal of wind across Hwy 280. But always beautiful.
